Departments generally use a Client-Server based legacy system, to enter and retrieve information about the offenders and their various details.
Problem:
1) Users need to have client application installed.
2) Performing technology updates need to be done on each and every client used by User
3) Mobile usage is absolutely restricted.
Solution:
The solution is to develop a state of the art web based application using the latest web technologies, which would replace the legacy client-server system.
The main advantages of this web-based system would be
1) Users can access the system through the web browser.
2) Technology updates are done only on the Server.
3) System provides the feasibility of User access through other portable devices like PDAs or a BlackBerry.
4) Since this proposed system uses latest technology, any upgrades are very easy.
